What is avoid?
abolish,
dissolve
There
are many precepts in the Word. We might not like hearing them but they are
warnings because the Lord loves us and cares about us.
We
must cleanse our hearts.
We
are here on earth for a very short time, we are just a vapor then we vanish.
The
Lord detests pride and judging others.
We
should not quarrel or cause conflicts.
We
must not covet for what we do not have.

4
Things
to Avoid
1
What is the source of quarrels and conflicts among you? Is not the source your
pleasures that wage war in your members? 2 You lust and do not have;
so you commit murder. You are envious and cannot obtain; so you fight and
quarrel. You do not have because you do not ask. 3 You ask
and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend
it on your pleasures. 4 You adulteresses, do you not know that
friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever
wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
5 Or do you think that the Scripture speaks to no purpose: “He jealously
desires the Spirit which He has made to dwell in us”? 6 But He gives a
greater grace. Therefore it says, “God is opposed to the proud, but gives
grace to the humble.” 7 Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil
and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near
to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you
double-minded. 9 Be miserable and mourn and weep; let your laughter be
turned into mourning and your joy to gloom. 10 Humble yourselves in
the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you.
11 Do
not speak against one another, brethren. He who speaks against a brother or judges his brother,
speaks against the law and judges the law; but if you judge the law, you are
not a doer of the law but a judge of it. 12 There is only one
Lawgiver and Judge, the One who is able to save and to destroy; but who
are you who judge your neighbor?
13 Come
now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, and
spend a year there and engage in business and make a profit.” 14 Yet
you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that
appears for a little while and then vanishes away. 15 Instead, you
ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and also do this or that.”
16 But as it is, you boast in your arrogance; all such boasting is evil. 17 Therefore,
to one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, to him it is sin.
Romans
1;18
[ God’s
Wrath Against Sinful Humanity ] The wrath of God is being revealed from
heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who
suppress the truth by their wickedness.
1
Timothy 4;7
Have
nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales; rather,
train yourself to be godly.
Psalm
14;1
[ Folly
and Wickedness of Men. ] The fool has said in his heart, “There is no
God.” They are corrupt, they have committed abominable deeds; There is no one
who does good.

Timothy 6;20
Timothy,
guard what has been entrusted to your care. Turn away from godless
chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge.

A
Call to Persevere in Faith
19 Therefore,
brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by
the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way opened for us through the
curtain, that is, his body, 21 and since we have a great priest over the
house of God, 22 let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the
full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us
from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.
23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is
faithful. 24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward
love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the
habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day
approaching.
26 If
we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the
truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27 but only a fearful expectation of
judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.
28 Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the
testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 How much more severely do you
think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God
underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that
sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know
him who said, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,”and again, “The Lord will judge
his people.” 31 It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the
living God.
32 Remember
those earlier days after you had received the light, when you endured in a
great conflict full of suffering. 33 Sometimes you were publicly exposed
to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who
were so treated. 34 You suffered along with those in prison and joyfully
accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you
yourselves had better and lasting possessions. 35 So do not throw away
your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.
36 You
need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive
what he has promised.
37 For,
“In
just a little while,
he
who is coming will come
and
will not delay.”
38 And,
“But
my righteous one will live by faith.
And
I take no pleasure
in
the one who shrinks back.”
39 But
we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who
have faith and are saved.
