What is Honor?

Dictionary;
a keen sense of ethical conduct ; integrity, a man of honor.
one's word given as a guarantee of performance on my honor, I will be there.

The scriptures tell us the importance of honoring our father and mother.
They gave birth to us, they took care of us for many years.

We must revere the Lord our God.

If we honor the Lord he will honor us.

Ephesians 6;2
Honor your father and mother (which is the first commandment with a promise).

John 5;23
so that all will honor the Son even as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.

Revelation 4;9
And when the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, to Him who lives forever and ever.

John 12;26
If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.

Leviticus 19;32
“ You shall rise up before the grayheaded and the aged, and you shall revere your God; I am the Lord”.

Exodus 14;17-17

28;58-67

1 Samuel 2;7

Matthew 6;2
