Dark
in the Bible.
Darkness
is about evil in the Word.
Can
we imagine living in a place that is total darkness 24 hours a day? Parts of
Alaska is dark 24 hours a day in the winter.
We
must live in the light, not in the darkness.
Jesus
is the light of the world.
If
we walk in the darkness we know not where we are going.
If
we believe in Jesus we will not remain in darkness.
If
we open our eyes we move from darkness to light, from the power of satan to the
power of God.
The
way of the wicked is like gloomy darkness.
Because
of God’s mercy he will give light to those in the darkness.
God
is our lamp, he illuminates the darkness around us.

Live
in the Light
6 Let nobody deceive you with
empty words, for because of these things God’s wrath comes on the sons of
disobedience. 7 Therefore do not be partakers with them, 8 for
you were at one time darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk
as children of the light— 9 for the fruit of the light consists
in all goodness, righteousness, and truth— 10 trying to learn what
is pleasing to the Lord. 11 Do not participate in the unfruitful
deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. 12 For the
things they do in secret are shameful even to mention. 13 But all
things being exposed by the light are made evident. 14 For
everything made evident is light, and for this reason it says:
“Awake,
O sleeper!
Rise
from the dead,
and
Christ will shine on you!”
