Satisfaction

Gratification
Happiness
Joy
Fleeting pleasure

What is satisfaction?
What is happiness?
What is joy ?

Do we live by short term happiness from day to day or are we filled with long term infinite happiness with Jesus in our hearts?

Living by the world we are never ever satisfied!

________

The band The Rolling Stones have a song;
I can't get no satisfaction, I can't get no satisfaction
'Cause I try and I try and I try and I try
That's what I say, I can't get no, I can't get no
I can't get no satisfaction, no satisfaction
No satisfaction, no satisfaction
I can't get no.
_______

Satisfaction is all about self indulgence, making oneself happy in life.
Is it all about toys and hobbies?
Is it all about false security with money and nice things?

Many people believe they don’t need God, they don’t have time for God, they are totally happy and satisfied with life and comfort.

Others believe in God but they don’t want to change their life style and give things up.

Many believe they don’t want someone telling them what they can and can’t do! They get to much of that at work and home! I don’t need anyone else controlling me.

Living guided by the world and our flesh we are never satisfied.

We can go through life with this great thirst craving for satisfaction and happiness or we can have this great thirst studying the Scriptures and pleasing the Lord,
which is better?

Reality of life is with Jesus, the Lord our God created us, He created life, He created this world and universe.

We are here on this earth to love and serve others.

There is short term false satisfaction and joy in this world
and there is infinite joy and satisfaction with Jesus.

Is our life all about how many movies, TV shows, and books we’ve read?

Is life about all the possessions we have and what we’ve accumulated?

Is life all about pride and all we think we know?
Is it all about how smart we thing we are?
Is it all about our piled up education?
Is it all about our personal understanding and wisdom or is about wisdom and understanding from the Holy Spirit?

Do we want our heart and soul to die when our body does or do we want our heart and soul to live forever? We have a choice, God gave us that!

In the end and our last breath are we ready and really satisfied?
