The
Spirit vs the flesh.
Romans
8;1-13
1
There is
therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2 For
the law of the life-giving Spirit in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law
of sin and death. 3 For God achieved what the law could not do
because it was weakened through the flesh. By sending his own Son
in the likeness of sinful flesh and concerning sin, he condemned
sin in the flesh, 4 so that the righteous requirement
of the law may be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh
but according to the Spirit.
5 For those who live according
to the flesh have their outlook shaped by the things of the flesh,
but those who live according to the Spirit have their outlook shaped by the
things of the Spirit. 6 For the outlook of the flesh
is death, but the outlook of the Spirit is life and peace, 7 because
the outlook of the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not
submit to the law of God, nor is it able to do so. 8 Those who are
in the flesh cannot please God. 9 You, however, are
not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God
lives in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, this person
does not belong to him. 10 But if Christ is in you, your body is
dead because of sin, but the Spirit is your life because of righteousness. 11 Moreover
if the Spirit of the one who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, the one who
raised Christ from the dead will also make your mortal bodies alive through his
Spirit who lives in you.
12 So then, brothers and
sisters, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live
according to the flesh 13 (for if you live according
to the flesh, you will die), but if by the Spirit you put to
death the deeds of the body you will live.

John 2;16
For
everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the
eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world.
Psalm
73;26
My flesh
and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion
forever.
Psalm

He
remembered that they were but flesh, a passing breeze that does not
return.
Psalm
84;2
My
soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh
cry out for the living God.
Psalm
119;120
My flesh
trembles in fear of you; I stand in awe of your laws.
Matthew
19;5-6
5
and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united
to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’.
6 So
they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined
together, let no one separate.”
Matthew
26;41
“Watch
and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but
the flesh is weak.”
Genesis
2;21-24
21 So the Lord God caused the
man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the
man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then
the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he
brought her to the man.
23 The man said,
“This
is now bone of my bones
and
flesh of my flesh;
she
shall be called ‘woman,’
for
she was taken out of man.”
24 That is why a man leaves his
father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.
Proverbs
5;11
At
the end of your life you will groan, when your flesh and body are spent.
Matthew
16;17
Jesus
replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you
by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven
Matthew

by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.
John
1;1
[ The
Word Became Flesh ] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was
with God, and the Word was God.
