Wisdom
from above
The wisdom of God is infinite.
Our wisdom is limited and was created by God.
We cannot begin to comprehend Gods infinite wisdom.
Wisdom
from the Holy Spirit
Spiritual discernment
The
verses below define the importance of praying and asking for wisdom and guidance
from the Holy Spirit each and every time we study the scriptures.
We
must not lean on our own understanding or reasoning or any other man’s
understanding of the Bible,
We
must receive Only wisdom and guidance from the Holy Spirit.
The
Complete Bible was written by the Holy Spirit guiding Spirit filled men on what
to write.
If
we have been baptized with the Holy Spirit we have much greater understanding
of the scriptures.
Paul’s
words and writings were from the Holy Spirit, not from Paul’s understanding or
reasoning.
The Spirit of God
1 Corinthians 2:9-14
9 But just as it is written, “Things
that no eye has seen, or ear heard, or mind imagined, are
the things God has prepared for those who love him.” 10 God
has revealed these to us by the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things,
even the deep things of God. 11 For who among men knows the things of a
man except the man’s spirit within him? So too, no one knows the things of God
except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have not received the spirit of the
world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things that are
freely given to us by God. 13 And we speak about these things, not with
words taught us by human wisdom, but with those taught by the Spirit,
explaining spiritual things to spiritual people. 14 The unbeliever does
not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him.
And he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.
Colossians
1;9
9 For this reason we also, from
the day we heard about you, have not ceased praying for you and asking
God to fill you with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and
understanding.
James 3;13-18
Wisdom
from Above
13 Who among you is wise and
understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of
wisdom. 14 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in
your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth. 15 This
wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic.
16 For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and
every evil thing. 17 But the wisdom from above is first pure,
then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits,
unwavering, without hypocrisy. 18 And the seed whose fruit is
righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
1
Corinthians 1;19
For it is written,
“I will destroy the
wisdom of the wise,
and I will thwart
the cleverness of the
intelligent .”
Proverbs
26;12
Do
you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool
than for him.
Proverbs 3;13-35
