Righteousness

Righteousness

What is righteousness?

Righteousness with God is much more than being morally correct.
Righteousness is a growth process alone with sanctification that we as Christians endure throughout our life here on earth.

We cannot grow with righteousness own our own. We must have Jesus in our heart and be guided by the Holy Spirit, enduring and following the will of God.
The ingredients of righteousness are love, humility, forgiveness, perseverance, obedience, mercy, gracefulness, etc.

We are never perfectly righteous, only God is perfectly righteous.

Righteousness is a positive key word in the Bible.

All that God does is righteous, Jesus is righteous.

We can't be perfectly righteous but as Christians we must strive and work towards it.

God is a righteous judge

Righteous is an essential perfection of God's character.

Noah was a servant, slave, disciple, and a righteous man.

________
Dictionary = Righteous. acting in accord with divine or moral law, free from guilt or sin. Righteous is about ethical conduct.
It is the wonder of grace that as the righteous guardian of the law, he can acquit the unrighteous. "The righteousness of Christ" includes his spotless holiness, his perfect obedience the law demands; and "the righteousness of faith" is that imputed to the sinner who believes in Christ. With reference to personal character, righteousness is used both for uprightness between man and man, and for true religion.
_______

We must be very cautious as a Christian to not come across as self-righteous which is another tool of the enemy.
We must be careful not to point a finger at someone and state they are self-righteous.

Wikipedia
Self-righteousness also called sanctimoniousness, sententiousness, and holier-than-thou attitudes is a feeling or display of smug moral superiority derived from a sense that one's beliefs, actions, or affiliations are of greater virtue than those of the average person. Self-righteous individuals are often intolerant of the opinions and behaviors of others.
