Mothers

Mothers

Mothers are special people.

The scriptures tell us we are to honor our Mother and Father.

Who is the mother of all ?
Eve.

Mary is the mother of Jesus.

Genesis 3;20
The man named his wife Eve, because she was the mother of all the living.

A mother is a parent that watches over and cares for her children. Just as there are mothers in the human world there are mothers in the animal kingdom that watch over and protect their offspring.

A mother worries and cares for her children.

A mother is The woman who loves you unconditionally from birth, the one who puts her children before herself and the one who you can always count on.

The meaning of being a mother is virtually endless. A mother is a protector, disciplinarian and friend. A mother is a selfless, loving human who must sacrifice many of her wants and needs for the wants and needs her children.

Even in the animal kingdom a mothers love is beautiful, she watches over and protects her offspring.

Mothers have unconditional love for their children.
What is unconditional love?
Love that is true love like God loves us. Unconditional love is loving someone the way they are no matter what, loving there bad points and good points. Loving someone no matter what they might do wrong or if they attack us.

God has unconditional love for us.
According to the Scriptures we are to have unconditional love for others.
What does that mean?
Does that mean we only love others who are nice to us?
Do we hold a grudge or hate someone that is not nice to us?

Let your father and your mother be glad, And let her rejoice who gave birth to you.

Matthew 2;11

Matthew 19;19
honor your father and mother, and love your neighbor as yourself.”

Matthew 15;4
For God said, ‘Honor your father and mother’ and ‘Whoever insults his father or mother must be put to death.”

Judges 5:7
Warriors were scarce, they were scarce in Israel, until you arose, Deborah, until you arose as a motherly protector in Israel.

1 Corinthians 13;4-8
Love is patient, love is kind, it is not envious. Love does not brag, it is not puffed up. It is not rude, it is not self-serving, it is not easily angered or resentful. It is not glad about injustice, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never ends. But if there are prophecies, they will be set aside; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be set aside.

Matthew 22;37-40 (NET)

The Greatest and First Commandment

37 Jesus said to him, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the FIRST and greatest commandment. 39 The second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.”

I'm writing this poem for you, mom
because I want this poem to be,
my own special way of showing you
how much you mean to me.
I have so much to say
and I don't think this poem will do,
B B.B. B.B. b. but each word in between these lines
comes straight from my heart for you.
I know I haven't been a perfect son,
but you've taken things in stride,
and no matter how many problems I've had
you've always been by my side.
I could talk to you about whatever I felt,
because I knew that you'd understand,
all that you asked from me in return
was to stand up and be a man.
If I asked you for some advice
you never have told me no,
and if I made a dumb mistake
you've never said I told you so!
You've always treated me real special
and sometimes I don't understand why.
But when I think about how I've hurt you
it makes me want to cry.
This is an apology for the mistakes I've made
and the conflicts that we've had,
for all the times I've hurt you
and for all the times I've made you mad.
I wrote this especially for you mom,
this is my cry out to you.
To let you know how sorry I am
and how much I really love.

Her hands held me gently from the day I took my first breath.
Her hands helped to guide me as I took my first step.
Her hands held me close when the tears would start to fall.
Her hands were quick to show me that she would take care of it all.

Her hands were there to brush my hair, or straighten a wayward bow.
Her hands were often there to comfort the hurts that didn't always show.
Her hands helped hold the stars in place, and encouraged me to reach.
Her hands would clap and cheer and praise when I captured them at length.

Her hands would also push me, though not down or in harm's way.
Her hands would punctuate the words, just do what I say.
Her hands sometimes had to discipline, to help bend this young tree.
Her hands would shape and mold me into all she knew I could be.

Her hands are now twisting with age and years of work,
Her hand now needs my gentle touch to rub away the hurt.
Her hands are more beautiful than anything can be.
Her hands are the reason I am me.

A mother's love is a wonderful love packaged from heaven with special care.
A mother's love is like no other love in which you can compare.
A mother's love is purified by Angels and flows directly from her soul.
A mother's love is justified by God and by his hands he created the mold.
This mold that was shaped and fashioned by God has endured the test of time.
This mold that was taped and recorded by women rang out like a heavenly chime.
A mother's love is unconditional, and from her heart this can be told.
A mother's love is nutritional; it is the fruit that feeds our soul.
A mother's love 'IS' true love, and from her heart she cannot lie.
A mother's love is eternal, the kind that wont' ever die.
A mother's love is the tie that binds, and her bond can never be broken.
A mother's love is branded in our hearts, even when her words aren’t spoken....

My mother is my lifeline, she is my complete savior,
She does everything she can for me, and for that I praise her,
She went without when I was younger so I could have nice stuff,
She worked herself to the bone, but never did she give up.

My mother is my lifeline, she is truly my best friend,
she help me through the good and bad, she stayed there till the end,
she pick me up when I was down and wiped the tears away,
she will be there when I need her every night and everyday.

My mother is my lifeline, she's completely a shining star,
she has never made me feel alone, no distance is too far,
she'll travel to the moon and back, if I ask her to.
My mother is my lifeline, this poem I wrote for you.

Thank you...
For standing by me through thick and thin
For not giving up on me when I didn't win
For your patience when I kept pushing you away
For caring when I said I didn't need you anyway

I am grateful knowing...
I can count on your strength
Ask for your support, and know you'll go to any length
When I lose my way
You help me get back on track
When in pain
Your comfort soothes and brings me back

I am lucky because...
When I was sad you gave me faith and hope
When I was confused you taught me how to cope
When I felt I couldn't go on
You carried me long miles
When I didn't believe
You restored my smiles
Mom, thank you
For your guidance and the faith you've shown
For giving me a safe place where I have grown
For showing me how to strive
Because of your love
I will survive.

A Mom is a Mom

A Mom is always there for you,
she always has time for you,
she always loves you no matter what.
Her love is beautiful and unselfish,
a Mothers love is about compassion and virtue,
her love is about empathy and sympathy,
She worries about you,
she wonders where you are and what your doing,
a Mom is a Mom.
A Mom will stand by you no matter what,
a Mom puts you ahead of herself,
ahead of her needs,
many people love others with conditional love
but Moms love their children unconditionally,
It’s called unconditional love, it’s true love,
It’s beautiful, ideal, and essential love,
it’s the same kind of love God has for us....
