We
all have been guilty of using excuses.
There
are excuses why millions don’t become a Christian.
What
does God think of people not wanting to become a Christian and their excuses?
Who
loves these excuses?
Obstinate; “ I an a creature of habit, I like my comfort zone, I
don’t like change it upsets me, becoming a Christian is a major change. I
like my life the way it is.”
Rules; “ I have more then enough rules and regulations in life the way it is. I have enough people telling me what to do and how to run my life.”
Bad examples; Unfortunately there are a few so called Christians that give other Christians a bad name. If someone acts inappropriately as a Christian that can do detrimental harm, it can affect hundreds of others, the scriptures warn us against that. We as Christians have a responsibility to come across as moral non-condescending, humble, non-judging individual. We must love, serve, and fight pride and self-righteous attitudes. As a Christian it can be easy to put ourselves on a higher self righteous platform.
Time; “I don’t have the time to be a Christian, I have enough things going on each day, I work full time, have a house and family I’m responsible for, there is never enough time in the day. I have my sports and hobbies on the weekends”.
Good times; “I’ll have to give up fun things in life that make me happy, I like to party with others and laugh and have a good time.” “I don’t want to give up the things I love to do!”
Friends; “if I become a Christian it will alienate me, I will lose some friends and family members, they will think I’m a weirdo.”
Sin; “what’s wrong with a little sin once in a while, I like to sin sometimes, it’s exciting, life is boring otherwise”.
Dislike; “I don’t need to love others in fact I hate so and so, I only like people that are nice to me.”
