Heaven




There are three Heavens in the Bible;

1) Our immediate atmosphere.
2) Outer space, the sun, moon, and stars.
3) The Home of God.



Genesis 6;7 
So the Lord said, “I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the ground, man and beast and creeping things and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.”


Matthew 24;29
The Coming of the Son of Man
29 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

Hebrews 4;14 
14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.

Hebrews 9;24
24 For Christ did not enter a holy place made with hands, a mere copy of the true one, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us;


Deuteronomy 4;19 
19 And beware not to lift up your eyes to heaven and see the sun and the moon and the stars, all the host of heaven, and be drawn away and worship them and serve them, those which the Lord your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole heaven.

2 Corinthians 12;2
I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago—whether in the body I do not know, or out of the body I do not know, God knows—such a man was caught up to the third heaven.


1 Kings 8:27 
27 “But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the [a]highest heaven cannot contain You, how much less this house which I have built!

Acts 7:55 


55 But being full of the Holy Spirit, he gazed intently into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God.

Genesis 1;1
[ The Creation ] In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.


Genesis 1;8
God called the expanse heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day.



Genesis 1;9
Then God said, “Let the waters below the heavens be gathered into one place, and let the dry land appear”; and it was so.



Genesis 1;14
Then God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years.



Genesis 1;15
and let them be for lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth”; and it was so.


Genesis 1;17
God placed them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth,


Genesis 1;20
Then God said, “Let the waters teem with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open expanse of the heavens.



Genesis 2;1
[ The Creation of Man and Woman ] Thus the heavens and the earth were completed, and all their hosts.


Genesis 2;4
This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made earth and heaven.



Genesis 6;17
Behold, I, even I am bringing the flood of water upon the earth, to destroy all flesh in which is the breath of life, from under heaven; everything that is on the earth shall perish.


Genesis 7;19
The water prevailed more and more upon the earth, so that all the high mountains everywhere under the heavens were covered.


Genesis 11;4
They said, “Come, let us build for ourselves a city, and a tower whose top will reach into heaven, and let us make for ourselves a name, otherwise we will be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.”



Genesis 14;19
He blessed him and said, “Blessed be Abram of God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth.


Genesis 14;22
Abram said to the king of Sodom, “I have sworn to the Lord God Most High, possessor of heaven and earth,



Genesis 15;5
And He took him outside and said, “Now look toward the heavens, and count the stars, if you are able to count them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be.”



Genesis 19;24
Then the Lord rained on Sodom and Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven.



Genesis 21;17
God heard the lad crying; and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven and said to her, “What is the matter with you, Hagar? Do not fear, for God has heard the voice of the lad where he is.



Genesis 22;11
But the angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said, “Abraham, Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.”


Genesis 22;15
Then the angel of the Lord called to Abraham a second time from heaven.


Genesis 22;17
indeed I will greatly bless you, and I will greatly multiply your seed as the stars of the heavens and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your seed shall possess the gate of their enemies.


Genesis 24;3
and I will make you swear by the Lord, the God of heaven and the God of earth, that you shall not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I live.


Genesis 24;7
The Lord, the God of heaven, who took me from my father’s house and from the land of my birth, and who spoke to me and who swore to me, saying, ‘To your descendants I will give this land,’ He will send His angel before you, and you will take a wife for my son from there.


Genesis 26;4
I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven, and will give your descendants all these lands; and by your descendants all the nations of the earth shall be blessed.



Genesis 27;28
Now may God give you of the dew of heaven, And of the fatness of the earth, And an abundance of grain and new wine.


Genesis 27;39
Then Isaac his father answered and said to him, “Behold, away from the fertility of the earth shall be your dwelling, And away from the dew of heaven from above.


Psalm 8;1
[ The Lord’s Glory and Man’s Dignity. ] O Lord, our Lord, How majestic is Your name in all the earth, Who have displayed Your splendor above the heavens!


Psalm 8;3
When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained.


Psalm 8;8
The birds of the heavens and the fish of the sea, Whatever passes through the paths of the seas.


Psalm 11;4
The Lord is in His holy temple; the Lord’s throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, His eyelids test the sons of men.


Psalm 14;2
The Lord has looked down from heaven upon the sons of men To see if there are any who understand, Who seek after God.


Psalm 18;9
He bowed the heavens also, and came down With thick darkness under His feet.


Psalm 18;13
The Lord also thundered in the heavens, And the Most High uttered His voice, Hailstones and coals of fire.


Psalm 19;1
[ The Works and the Word of God. ]  The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.


Psalm 19;6
Its rising is from one end of the heavens, And its circuit to the other end of them; And there is nothing hidden from its heat.



Psalm 20;6
Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven With the saving strength of His right hand.


Psalm 33;6
By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, And by the breath of His mouth all their host.



Psalm 33;13
The Lord looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men.


Psalm 36;5
Your lovingkindness, O Lord, extends to the heavens, Your faithfulness reaches to the skies.


Psalm 50;4
He summons the heavens above, And the earth, to judge His people.



Psalm 50;6
And the heavens declare His righteousness, For God Himself is judge. Selah.


Psalm 53;2
God has looked down from heaven upon the sons of men To see if there is anyone who understands, Who seeks after God.



Psalm 57;3
He will send from heaven and save me; He reproaches him who tramples upon me. Selah. God will send forth His lovingkindness and His truth.


Psalm 57;5
Be exalted above the heavens, O God; Let Your glory be above all the earth.


Psalm 57;10
For Your lovingkindness is great to the heavens And Your truth to the clouds.



Psalm 57;11
Be exalted above the heavens, O God; Let Your glory be above all the earth.



Psalm 68;8
The earth quaked; The heavens also dropped rain at the presence of God; Sinai itself quaked at the presence of God, the God of Israel.

Psalm 68;33
To Him who rides upon the highest heavens, which are from ancient times; Behold, He speaks forth with His voice, a mighty voice.


Psalm 69;34
Let heaven and earth praise Him, The seas and everything that moves in them.



Psalm 71;19
For Your righteousness, O God, reaches to the heavens, You who have done great things; O God, who is like You?


Proverbs 3;19
The Lord by wisdom founded the earth, By understanding He established the heavens.



Proverbs 8;27
“When He established the heavens, I was there, When He inscribed a circle on the face of the deep.



Proverbs 23;5
When you set your eyes on it, it is gone. For wealth certainly makes itself wings Like an eagle that flies toward the heavens.



Proverbs 25;3
As the heavens for height and the earth for depth, So the heart of kings is unsearchable.



Proverbs 30;4
Who has ascended into heaven and descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has wrapped the waters in His garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name or His son’s name? Surely you know!


Ecclesiastes 1;13
And I set my mind to seek and explore by wisdom concerning all that has been done under heaven. It is a grievous task which God has given to the sons of men to be afflicted with.



Ecclesiastes 2;3
I explored with my mind how to stimulate my body with wine while my mind was guiding me wisely, and how to take hold of folly, until I could see what good there is for the sons of men to do under heaven the few years of their lives.



Ecclesiastes 3;1
[ A Time for Everything ] There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven.



Ecclesiastes 5;2
Do not be hasty in word or impulsive in thought to bring up a matter in the presence of God. For God is in heaven and you are on the earth; therefore let your words be few.



Ecclesiastes 10;20
Furthermore, in your bedchamber do not curse a king, and in your sleeping rooms do not curse a rich man, for a bird of the heavens will carry the sound and the winged creature will make the matter known.


Matthew 3;2
“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”



Matthew 3;16
After being baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove and lighting on Him.



Matthew 3;17
and behold, a voice out of the heavens said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased.”



Matthew 4;17
From that time Jesus began to preach and say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”



Matthew 5;3
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.



Matthew 5;10
“Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.



Matthew 5;12
Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.


Matthew 5;16
Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.



Matthew 5;18
For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished.



Matthew 5;19
Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.



Matthew 5;20
“For I say to you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.



Matthew 5;34
But I say to you, make no oath at all, either by heaven, for it is the throne of God.



Matthew 5;45
so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.



Matthew 5;48
Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.



Matthew 6;1
[ Giving to the Poor and Prayer ] “Beware of practicing your righteousness before men to be noticed by them; otherwise you have no reward with your Father who is in heaven.



Matthew 6;9
“Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.



Matthew 6;10
‘Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven.


Matthew 6;14
For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.



Matthew 6;20
But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal.



Matthew 6;26
Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?


Matthew 6;32
For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.


Matthew 7;11
If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!



Matthew 7;21
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.



Matthew 8;11
I say to you that many will come from east and west, and recline at the table with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.



Matthew 10;7
And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’



Acts 1;2
until the day when He was taken up to heaven, after He had by the Holy Spirit given orders to the apostles whom He had chosen.



Acts 1;11
They also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven.”



Acts 2;2
And suddenly there came from heaven a noise like a violent rushing wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.

Acts 7;42
But God turned away and delivered them up to serve the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, ‘It was not to Me that you offered victims and sacrifices forty years in the wilderness, was it, O house of Israel?



Acts 7;49
Heaven is My throne, And earth is the footstool of My feet; What kind of house will you build for Me?’ says the Lord, ‘Or what place is there for My repose?



Acts 7;55
But being full of the Holy Spirit, he gazed intently into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God.



Acts 7;56
and he said, “Behold, I see the heavens opened up and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.”



Acts 9;3
As he was traveling, it happened that he was approaching Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him.



Acts 11;9
But a voice from heaven answered a second time, ‘What God has cleansed, no longer consider unholy.’



Acts 14;15
and saying, “Men, why are you doing these things? We are also men of the same nature as you, and preach the gospel to you that you should turn from these vain things to a living God, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and all that is in them.

Acts 17;24
The God who made the world and all things in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands.



Acts 19;35
After quieting the crowd, the town clerk *said, “Men of Ephesus, what man is there after all who does not know that the city of the Ephesians is guardian of the temple of the great Artemis and of the image which fell down from heaven?



Acts 22;6
“But it happened that as I was on my way, approaching Damascus about noontime, a very bright light suddenly flashed from heaven all around me.



Acts 2;13
at midday, O King, I saw on the way a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, shining all around me and those who were journeying with me.

Romans 1;18
[ Unbelief and Its Consequences ] For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness.


Revelation 3;12
He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he will not go out from it anymore; and I will write on him the name of My God, and the name of the city of My God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God, and My new name.



Revelation 4;1
[ Scene in Heaven ] After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven, and the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a trumpet speaking with me, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things.”



Revelation 4;2
Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne was standing in heaven, and One sitting on the throne.



Revelation 5;3
And no one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the book or to look into it.

Revelation 8;1
[ The Seventh Seal—the Trumpets ] When the Lamb broke the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.



Revelation 8;10
The third angel sounded, and a great star fell from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of waters.



Revelation 9;1
[ The Fifth Trumpet—the Bottomless Pit ] Then the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star from heaven which had fallen to the earth; and the key of the bottomless pit was given to him.



Revelation 10;1
[ The Angel and the Little Book ] I saw another strong angel coming down out of heaven, clothed with a cloud; and the rainbow was upon his head, and his face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire.



Revelation 10;4
When the seven peals of thunder had spoken, I was about to write; and I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Seal up the things which the seven peals of thunder have spoken and do not write them.”



Revelation 10;5
Then the angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land lifted up his right hand to heaven,



Revelation 10;6
and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and the things in it, and the earth and the things in it, and the sea and the things in it, that there will be delay no longer.


Revelation 10;8
Then the voice which I heard from heaven, I heard again speaking with me, and saying, “Go, take the book which is open in the hand of the angel who stands on the sea and on the land.”



Revelation 11;12
And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” Then they went up into heaven in the cloud, and their enemies watched them.



Revelation 11;13
And in that hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell; seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.



Revelation 11;15
[ The Seventh Trumpet—Christ’s Reign Foreseen ] Then the seventh angel sounded; and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ; and He will reign forever and ever.”



Revelation 11;19
And the temple of God which is in heaven was opened; and the ark of His covenant appeared in His temple, and there were flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder and an earthquake and a great hailstorm.


Revelation 12;1
[ The Woman, Israel ] A great sign appeared in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.


Revelation 12;3
[ The Red Dragon, Satan ] Then another sign appeared in heaven: and behold, a great red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads were seven diadems.
Revelation 12;4
And his tail *swept away a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she gave birth he might devour her child.



Revelation 12;7
[ The Angel, Michael ] And there was war in heaven, Michael and his angels waging war with the dragon. The dragon and his angels waged war.
Revelation 12;8
and they were not strong enough, and there was no longer a place found for them in heaven.



Revelation 12;10
Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night.



Revelation 12;12
For this reason, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them. Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has only a short time.”



Revelation 13;6
And he opened his mouth in blasphemies against God, to blaspheme His name and His tabernacle, that is, those who dwell in heaven.
