Why do we need rest?
For renewal of energy and strength.

The Lord blessed the Sabbath day and tells us we must rest and respect the Sabbath day.

Matthew 11;28-29
28 Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke on you and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
