Promise

 What is a promise?


The Lord promises peace and protection to his faithful servants!

Promises are easily broken by the flesh.
Promises by God are never broken.

There are thousands of promises by God in the Bible.


Titus 1;2
in the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time.

James 2;5
Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him?

2 Peter 3;9
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

Genesis 18;19
For I have chosen him, so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing what is right and just, so that the Lord will bring about for Abraham what he has promised him.

Genesis 21;1
[ The Birth of Isaac ] Now the Lord was gracious to Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did for Sarah what he had promised.

Genesis 28;15
