Evil


What is evil?

Sinful, wicked, offensive, pernicious, awful.
The opposite of good.

The enemy is evil.

The flesh of our tongue can be evil.




Psalm 23;4

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

Isaiah 5;20
Beware, those who call evil good and good evil, who turn darkness into light and light into darkness, who turn bitter into sweet and sweet into bitter.


Genesis 2;9
Out of the ground the Lord God caused to grow every tree that is pleasing to the sight and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Deuteronomy 17;2
“If there is found in your midst, in any of your towns, which the Lord your God is giving you, a man or a woman who does what is evil in the sight of the Lord your God, by transgressing His covenant.




Deuteronomy 17;12
The man who acts presumptuously by not listening to the priest who stands there to serve the Lord your God, nor to the judge, that man shall die; thus you shall purge the evil from Israel.



Deuteronomy 19;19
then you shall do to him just as he had intended to do to his brother. Thus you shall purge the evil from among you.

Judges 2;11
